Milk chocolate is often described as containing “raisin” flavours. So, when you add raisins they almost blend into the chocolate yet add a distinct texture and a complimentary taste sensation. Blend in hazelnuts and suddenly there’s a savoury third texture that we think finishes it off just nicely.

FAIRTRADE STANDARDS

We buy our beans, at a fair price, directly from cocoa famers in Belize and the Dominican Republic who use organic farming techniques.

We believe organic ingredients make the best-tasting chocolate around. We search high and low for Fairtrade-certified ingredients that meet our stringent standards. Then we experiment until we find the balance we’ve been looking for. It’s not a fast process but, as you can taste, it’s a rewarding one.

ORGANIC HAZELNUTS

Micah, our Head of Taste, chose the Mediterranean hazelnuts we use because of their sweet, round nuttiness and lack of bitter notes.

ORGANIC RAISINS

The humble raisin is a complex treat. We’ve sampled thousands to find the one that wasn’t too sweet, too dry or too chewy.

ORGANIC COCOA BEANS

We use the finest organically grown cocoa, ground from Trinitario beans to give our chocolate its distinctive trademark flavour.
